Free Theatrical Lighting Workshop Set for March 6

For those who’ve ever wondered what goes on in the lighting booth during a play or a dance performance, Random People Theater Project is offering the community a workshop on theatrical lighting.

Joe Hiney, who has been lighting SoHum events for 25 years, will talk about the basics of stage lighting, how to hang lights, how to use a lighting board, and more. This will be an informal and hands-on workshop, culminating with the opportunity to assist in lighting the upcoming Random People Theater Project production the last week of March. The workshop is free and will be held on Sunday, March 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Redwood Playhouse (CR campus), 286 Sprowel Creek Road in Garberville.
